The full schedule, as posted on Ecofestival’s Facebook page:
Cyprus’ Ecological Celebration is again taking place during the first Sunday of June to create an experience you should not miss!
Through more human focused and collective structures, Cyprus’ Third Ecological Celebration offers an alternative approach to ecology based on cooperation and solidarity, education and exchange of ideas, for example on: a more direct relationship between the producer and the consumer; natural and quality food for all; locally sourced products; fair and affordable prices; traditional processing methods; our reconnection with nature; collective initiatives and collaborations; and promotion of lifestyles which go against the industrialization and commercialization of everything.
At the Ecological Celebration local producers participate with naturally grown quality vegetables and legumes (without chemicals and fertilizers), naturally prepared health products made with respect towards nature (no animal testing), and natural ecological products (cleaning products-cosmetics). In addition, organisations and groups who works on issues such as ecology, sustainability, and biodiversity and who are active in promoting ecological issues such as natural cultivations, the creation of urban vegetable gardens, recycling, education programs, health awareness, and workshops will also be present. Visitors will have the chance to discuss with them and receive information about these initiatives.
The public will have the opportunity throughout the day to be educated around all of the above issues, as well as attend a number of workshops. In addition, there will be a kid’s corner with ecologically-related activities, a cultural program, as well as specialist presentations, where besides the brief introduction of a topic, there will be dialogue and exchange of views with the attendants.
